Bloodless Coup
He was very present and the challenge
shoved me deep between
the wings.
Looking back,
he knew I judged
blended swipes
bespoke platitudes.
Those years,
All the power in a postcode,
All your fathers:
insane, flaccid,
puffed-
out
pricks.
