Taste of you

The taste of you is starfruit
And I am a bird. May I alight upon
your branch?
I am golden in love for you, translucent, feathered, glad
for your existence.
It points to my own, tells me of self
of love and generosity in the wind.

And you are an ocean
I am a school of dolphins,
Frolicking in you.
To be wet, skin slick, reveling
in your depths sometimes,
close to your surfaces sometimes,
enamored and sure at all times--sure
I am in my place.

To love you is this: frolic, revel, heartbreak, fullness til mandatory release, faith, delight.
