Dates with the unknown are rare for those souls set on keeping their shops neat

If the movie of Philadelphia was broadcast of the surface of the moon,
would you and I be on the dark side, invisible to life on Earth?

If the day of the month and the month of the year elude the grip of these lines
then the length of our lives may extend beyond the exercise of reason through the game of telling lies.

If they give you a typed paper and ask you to fill in the blanks, scribble over the whole damn page,
every square inch of white space, say It was blank and I filled it!

If your head hurts, wash the dishes.
If your back aches, do some forward bends.

If it's your heart, solitude and song will do the trick.
What you need is the opposite of what you think you need.

If fate drives a dark blue minivan, pulls up to your door late one night,
honks the horn, flashes the lights, and you observe a fleeting fear violate your sense of sight,

step back, sigh, straighten your tie and strike a match, walk outside,
locking the door behind you, and allow yourself to be taken for a ride.
