waiting is

so I'll rename all the waiting

'building patience'

and take deep breaths, as if that works,

and thank the flakes and the uncertain

for the opportunity to internalize that

waiting is.

and when it's time to know, I'll know.

on the radio they say it's proven

the more you think over a memory the more it changes

and so the way to hold it closest is not to relive it

to know it better later, stash it away

this reminds me that patience is not reliving to bide time.

not digging for new fodder as a means to wait.

the way I want to learn, someday, is putting aside. it will come when it's time.
